The A Game Chapter 7

Cassadee's Pov: I slapped Dakotah. It was the hardest slap I had ever given. The sound rebounded off the walls as the crowd gasped and got out their phones, snapping pictures of Dakotah. She was dazed and stumbled into the lockers, I don't think she knows what hit her. I saw Hayley emerge from the crowd and give me a confused look. She then ran over to Dakotah's aid. I rolled my eyes and stormed away, knowing that she wouldn't come after me because she had to make sure Dakotah was ok. I fast walked down the hall. I just wanted to get away from the noise of the crowd. Suddenly a hand grabbed my shoulder and spun me around.

"Cass stop for a second would you?" Taylor ordered turning me around to face him. "What was that back there?" He asked completely bewildered at my actions.

"I slapped Dakotah" I say simply when inside my whole body is buzzing and my mind is racing. I slapped my bestfriend. Well ex bestfriend now.

"Why? She's your bestfriend!" 

"You won't understand" 

"Talk to me, tell me what's going on" He sighed, grabbing my hand. I shook my head "You wont understand"

"Tell me then and maybe I will" His voice was soft but also irritated. 

"Leave me alone" I muttered, pulling my hand out of his. "Please Cass talk to me, let me be here for you" He begged

"I said just leave me alone!" I snapped and ran down another corridoor.

I could hear him calling after me so I ran into a classroom and shut the door. I looked up to see a guy taking pictures of some plants. I rolled my eyes and sat down on an empty seat. He stopped taking pictures and turned to look at me. I watched him as he put his camera down and sat down opposite me. He had dirty blonde hair that was half covered by a benie and a beard. His eyes were a crystal blue and he had a nose piercing in his right nostril. How have I never seen this guy?

"You ok there?" He asked waving his hand in front of my face. His voice was deep. Like sexy deep. I groaned and lay my head down on the table. 

"I'll take that as a no" He laughed and moved his chair towards me. I groaned again, lifting my head off the desk.

"I just want to be alone" I say rudely. He raises his hands in the air.

"Sorry, but your stuck with me". I groan again and rub my temples. This guy is irritating.

"Jeremy Davis" He smiles and holds out his hand. I roll my eyes again as I shake his hand. "I'm Cass" I shrug showing absolutely no enthusiasm whatsoever. He just laughs a happy laugh and grabs his camera.

"Well Cass how do you feel about taking some pictures?" Actually this sounds like a good idea to get my mind off of everything. I snatch the camera out of his hands and walk over to the plants that are all lined up in a row. 

"Where should I start?" 

Dakotah's Pov: I slowly open my eyes to find myself lying down on a hard bed. My vision is abit blurry at first but my eyes eventually adjust to the light. I glance to my right to see Zac staring at me. I can feel his soft fingers combing through my hair.

"Hey beautiful" He whispers, leaning down and planting a soft kiss on my forehead. I blink a couple of times to make sure this isn't a dream. He continues to comb his fingers through my hair, and it feels so calming. No this isn't a dream. The last thing I remember was Hayley holding me up and thats when it goes blurry.

"Hayley brought you in here, she sat here the whole time until she knew that you were going to be ok" He says as he continued to comb his fingers through my hair. 

"She's a true friend" I smile. 

"I'm not going to ask you what's going on between you and Cass because you can barely give me a proper answer of where you were the night of Alex's party" Zac says slowly, making sure I hear it.

"I'm just going to be here to comfort you and it's your choice if you want to tell me or not" He says quickly before I can add anything in. I smile happily. Finally something good just happened.

Hayley's Pov: My phone vibrates and I hesitantly look at it. What if its from "A"?

Hey babe I can't meet up with you for lunch because I have some family stuff to take care of. See you soon though I promise :) xo.

I sigh when I read the text. Cass is off hiding somewhere and Dakotah's at the sick bay, now my boyfriend is doing family stuff. Great. I might be one of the most popular girls but right now I'm a loner. Until I see Jack walking out of a office and hurrying down the corridoor. Therapy I'm guessing. Well I said that I would try help him so here I go.

"Jack wait!" I call. I see his head turn and his eyes meet mine. He looks down and continues walking. He was ignoring me now? I ran up to him and placed my hand on his shoulder, turning him around.

"What do you want Hayley?" He sighs

"How are you?"

"How am I?" A look of shock crosses his face. "Since when do you ever have time for me?"

I'm taken aback by what he says. I always have time for him..don't I?

"Even when we were dating you would spend less and less time with me, and more on you're friends" His voice came out harsh. He lifted his hand to stroke back some of his hair and his sleeve fell down a little bit, revealing three cuts. Three self inflicted cuts.

"What are those?" I ask although I already know. "Nothing" He mumbles and rolls up his sleeve.

"You're cutting yourself? Why have you been cutting yourself Jack?" My tone comes out harsher than I intended. "Why? Are you that blind?" He snaps. I take offence to his words and step back alittle.

"You Hayley! These are all because of you!" He cries and pulls up his sleeves, revealing about thirteen cuts. His words are like a painful stab to the heart. Its all my fault he's been cutting himself. Its all my fault. I shake that thought out of my head. No. It was his choice to cut himself, therefore it was his fault.

"I didn't force you to cut yourself! Did I?" I yell. Once again I could feel peoples eyes on me.

"It was because of you Hayley"

"Well It's not my fault you can't get over me" I immediately regret the words once they leave my mouth. His face is sad but angry at the same time. "Screw this" He shouts and walks away, punching a locker on his way past. 

Once he's out of sight I can hear the crowd whispering. Gosh don't they have anything better to do these days? Suddenly my phone beeps. I pull it out and examine the message.

Do you know where Josh is right now?

I reply quickly

Yes I do.

From: Unknown

So you know about him delivering drugs?

--A

A picture was attached of Josh holding a parcel. No way Josh isn't a drug dealer.

From: Unknown

Tell Zac what Dakotah and Alex did at the party or I tell the cops what Josh has been up to lately. You're choice.

What will Hayley do this time guys? Thanks for all the comments and buzz's you guys are awesome. Sorry it took me long to update but I've been busy with school and a friends birthday etc. Comment, Buzz and ENJOY :)
