Josh's Pov: I was arrested at the park for having possesion of stolen drugs. I told them that all the evidence they need is on my phone. I was put in an investigation room and was questioned on why I had those drugs in the first place. I told them about the messages from "A" and how "A" was blackmailing me. They checked out the text messages and investigated my history, to see if I had anything to do with drugs. I went on trial that same day I was arrested, and was resulted to a night in jail. The police are searching for this Ben and Chris guy to find out who had been ordering these drugs, but neither of them were to be found. They also tried tracking the phone that "A" has been texting off but they couldn't find any location. That means nobody has any links to who "A" might be.
My parents visited me first, offering all sorts off prices to get me out of jail, even if it was only for one night. Hayley, Dakotah, Cass, Alex, Zac, Taylor and Jack all visited me before I was sent to my cell. They all sat side by side in the waiting room for me. I hugged and kissed Hayley and told her to make sure her windows are closed and her door is locked at night. Everyone gave me weird looks but I wasn't able to explain everything because they dragged me off into this cell. I realised that now "A" has full control of me when it comes to Hayley's safety. I will do anything for her. In fact I think that I...I love her. We have never said the L word to eachother before, infact I have never said the L word to any of my girlfriends. All I can think about is Hayley and how I hope that she's going to be safe tonight.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After what seemed like a long endless night in jail, with people in cells beside me giving me evil death glares and shouting threats to kill me, I was finally released. They kept my phone because it was evidence in my trial and I was led out of the gate to where my parents were waiting.
"Oh Josh honey are you ok?" My Mother asked as she wrapped me in her arms.
Usually I would sigh and roll my eyes at this gesture (thinking that she was just an over protective mother) But after spending a night in prison with pure heartless criminals I decided that I really needed this. I accepted her gesture and flung my arms around her in a tight embrace, never wanting to let go. I felt safe. I needed my Mother.
"Josh we will make sure that you never go into that disgusting place again" My Father reassured as he unlocked the car. I jumped into the backseat and wound down the window, letting the fresh air roll in.
"I can't wait to see Hayley, and my friends" I smiled letting the air blow my hair around.
"No way Josh" My Father says, turning his head around quickly to give me a stern glare. I shot him a confused look. "You're Mother and I discussed this...we think that you should just stay home tonight, so we can keep an eye on you"
"What? But I need to see my friends!"
"Not tonight Josh"
"But-"
"You can call them when we get home but you're not leaving the house tonight is that clear?!"
"No! I have to see Hayley and make sure she's ok-" I wailed leaning forward.
"Is that clear Joshua?"
"Are you serious!?"
"Yes! Now sit back and lets get you home"
"Your've got to be kidding me" I muttered as I sat back down in my seat. I wasn't allowed to see Hayley or any of my friends tonight. This sucks.
Cassadee's Pov: I walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around slowly and when he saw me his face lit up. He stuffed his books into his locker and then wrapped me in a hug. I didn't hesitate to hug him back. I missed talking to him.
"I'm sorry" I say pulling out of his hug.
"No I'm sorry, I shouldn't of been so pushy for answers" Taylor replies staring at me in the eyes. "I was just worried, I really like you Cass"
"I really like you too" I smiled which made him smile too. He hugged me once more then intwined our fingers. I smiled happily as we walked down the corridoor hand in hand. At least I still have Taylor.
My smile faded once we walked past the photography room that I was in yesterday. I had hungout with Jeremy all day yesterday and then I just left him, without any explaination. I pretty much used him to make me feel better. I needed to find him. I needed to apoligize.
"Hey Tay I'm gonna go find Hayley she's been going through a hard time since Josh was put in jail for the night" I lied unattaching our hands. He smiled and nodded letting me run down the hallway. I searched and searched for Jeremy but there was no sign of him. I ran down to the guys gym room with my hair blowing about the place, and stood outside the door. Maybe he plays a sport or something? Suddenly a hand grabbed my shoulder.
"Hey Cass"
It was Jeremy covered in sweat. With no shirt on.
"Jeremy I've been looking for you" I say, fixing my hair back into place.
"Well you found me, what do you want to talk about?" He asked politely. I couldn't concentrate on his face, because my eyes kept traveling down to his muscley body. It wasn't too muscley just a four pack but still he seemed to notice this and chuckled softly.
"Like what you see?"
"No! No! I was just um... I came to apoligze for running away the other day, it was awfuly rude of me considering that you had taken time out of you're day just to cheer me up" I say, just managing to keep my eyes locked on his.
"Well I was the lucky one since you even talked to me. I'm nothing but a normal guy and you're one of the most popular girls in the school"
"Well I'm not as great as everyone makes me out to be" I say, letting my eyes wonder down to his sweaty body. Stop it Cass.
Well I thought you were pretty great" He says and advances toward me slowly, taking my hands in his. I was frozen, locked in his deep stare. Before he could get any closer I snapped out of his trance and stepped away from him. I shouldn't be doing this, it isn't right. Suddenly a hand clamps down on my shoulder making me almost jump out of my skin.
"Cass? What are you doing down here?" She asks then looks at a shirtless Jeremy who releases his grip on my hands. "I uh the guys want me back on the field so I guess I'll see you later" He says quickly and hurries out of the gym.
"What are you doing down here?" I ask, narrowing my eyes. "I was looking for my brother, I have his lunch" She explained holding up a brown bag. "My Dad got a new job and he gets paid quite alot" She says walking over to the properties shelf, placing it ontop of his pile.
"Who was that guy you were talking to?" She asks with a mix of suspicousness and confusion deep in her tone. "Nobody just some guy I ran into while looking for Taylor" I covered up. She eyes me suspicously before saying "Look we need to talk lets go somewhere private" She grabs my arm and drags me into the girls gym bathroom.
"What's up?" I ask casually as she let go of my arm. I was secretly hoping that she would forget that awkward moment with Jeremy. Luckily she did. "Have you been getting messages from a mysterious "A" person?"
I narrow my eyes. No way. Not Hayley as well.
"Yes I have! How did you know?" I answer
"Because I've been getting them too. Infact I think we all have"
"All have? What do you mean?"
"I think You, Me, Dakotah, and Josh have been getting messages from this A person" Hayley explains as she pulls out her phone showing me them. "Dakotah got a message saying that she had to dob you in or else Zac will find out-" Hayley paused and scratched her head akwardly.
"Zac will find out what?" I asked curiously. She just shook her head. "Tell me Hayley we need to sort all of this out"
"Dakotah cheated on Zac.....with Alex"
Hayley's Pov: I found Cass and dragged her into the girls bathroom with me. I explained everything that's been going on, even what happened between Dakotah and Alex. I know that I wasn't suppose to tell but I was hoping that Cass would finally see why she did it. Maybe she would forgive her? Cass stood there for a moment processing everything that I had just told her. It turns out that she has indeed been receiving messages from A too.
"I just have so much on my plate right now I really don't need this" She muttered as she paced herself in a circle. "Cass we all have alot to deal with but we can sort it out together"
Suddenly the bathroom door opened and a random girl walked in eyeing us both suspicously before walking into a bathroom stall. "I'll talk to you later" I mouthed to Cass and hurried out of the bathroom. I've got to remember that there are other people in this school that use the bathroom as well. I was almsot out of the gym area when Suddenly I get a text.
From: Unknown
I have Josh captive in the abandoned house down the road. If you want him to live you will come and get him at 4:30pm after school. I suggest you come alone, you wouldn't want one of you're friends or family members to get hurt now would you? Call the cops and Josh will pay the price. Don't test me.

Josh's Pov: I was sitting on my bed waiting for my clock to hit 3:30pm. That's when school finishes and Hayley will most likely be heading to her house around 4:00pm. That's when I can call her. The clock struck 4:00pm so I picked up the phone and called her house, only to have her Mother answer saying that she isn't back from school yet and she's heading out. I waited another half an hour before calling again only to have no one answer. Where is she? Suddenly my doorbell rings three times in a row. I was hoping that it could be Hayley. I ran downstairs and opened the door only to find a blue envelope with the letter "A" on it.
Rat me out to the cops! Hayley's blood will be on your hands.

"Mum!?, Dad!?" I cried and ran into the kitchen only to find yet another note there.
Gone out to pick up groceries. Be back soon! Love you! Mum and Dad. P.S We took you're car keys so you can't sneak out of the house to go to a party.
"Shit" I cussed and ran upstairs grabbing the phone. I only had one option left. Call the cops.
Hayley's Pov: This text from "A" scared me. I tried to text Josh's phone but there was no reply. I began to panic even more. I was zoned out all last period, thinking about my options. I should call the cops but then he might kill Josh. I started hyperventilating. "A" always keeps their word. Always. As soon as the final bell rang, I dove out of my seat and sprinted towards my car. Josh here I come.
I drove to the store first and brought a pocket knife just incase something bad went down. No way was I going there unprotected. I got another text from "A".

Coming or what? His time is slowly running out.

I checked the time on my phone. It read 4:00pm. I ran to my car and drove down to the abandoned house. It was atleast 15minutes away from the store. I pulled up to the creepy house and hesitantly walked up to the door. I then carefully pushed it slightly open. The door creaked open and I stepped inside.
"Josh?" I called, waiting for an answer or atleast a muffled scream but nothing was heard. "Josh!?" I repeated as I slowly made my way into the house.
The whole house was made of wood. There was nothing in sight, only tall broad walls that were covered in thick dust. There was no furniture, no Josh. Absoulutely nothing. I turned around the corner to find a large staircase that seemed to spiral up into darkness. Like there was no top. I took another step forward and a floorboard creaked beneath me, causing me to jump backwards in fright. Suddenly the front door slammed closed and I heard footsteps running down the deck. I ran to the door and tried to open it. It wouldn't budge. I quickly ran to the glass window, about to smash it open when something outside caught the corner of my eye.
There was a dark figure in a black hoodie standing behind a tree, staring at the house. I couldn't see the face of the person because they were too far away to tell. I heard a slight ticking noise from behind me that I didn't hear before. I spun around to find a small bomb attached to a large wall.
It was a trap.
My eyes widened as the bomb hit it's last second blowing up the entire wall, scattering chunks of the wall across the house and setting the floor into flames. The flames edged closer, engoulfing the floor on its way to me. Thick black smoke rose from the ground, forcing its way down my burning throat. I desperately tried to kick the door down. I kicked and kicked with all my might but someone must of blocked the door off.
"Somebody help me!" I screamed banging on the unbudging door.
The thick black smoke clouded around me, choking me until I fell onto my knees coughing. I watched as the fire licked the floor, only meters away from my feet. I was too weak to do anything more. My vision became hazy and the last thing I could see was glass sprinkling everywhere.
Then I blacked out.
