The Evil Within Chapter 4

Wow I updated quick! So this is the next chapter and you get a small idea of what Josh and Zac were like in their past. I hope you guys like! Buzz, Comment and Enjoy! :)

Hayley's Pov: "Jacob" Josh whispered. Jeremy raised a suspicous eyebrow and Taylor cleared his throat. They had no idea who these two guys were and neither did I.

Jacob had the exact same hair style as Josh except his hair colour was black. He had these magnifying dark green eyes that seemed to stare right through you. His skin was a pale white just like Josh's, and they were both dressed in all black. I noticed that he also has a huge blue ring on his finger just like Josh. In all honesty here, Jacob and Josh were just as hot as eachother. 

"Don't forget Adam" Jacob smirked as Adam came out from behind and stood next to him.

Adam on the other hand looked completely different. He had short wavy blonde hair with light blue eyes. He was just as pale as Jacob and Josh and wore all black. Once again there was a big blue ring on his middle finger. I thought Josh's was passed down through the family and now these two have one each as well? Could they be family maybe?

"Where's your brother? Camping in the woods?" Jacob joked, interupting my train of thoughts. Maybe their not family?

Josh grit his teeth together but said nothing. Finally Jacob took his eyes off Josh and looked at me his smirk turning into a pleased grin.

"Ooh who do we have here?" He went to take a step forward but Josh beat him to it. "I think you should leave. Both of you" He hissed, blocking me from them. What was happening?

"Hayley whats going on?" Taylor asked and Jacob let his eyes wander back to me. "Now!" Josh spat through clenched teeth. Jacob raised his hands in the air in a joking manner.

"Ok you want me to go, then I'll go." He says before looking back at me "I'll see you later Hayley" He winked before turning on his heel and leaving with Adam close behind. Josh grabbed my hand quickly causing me to blush slightly.

"We need to talk alone" He said quickly pulling me behind him. Jeremy and Taylor shot me a confused look but I was just as confused at what happened than they were. Maybe Josh was going to give me answers? He pulled me outside and into a secluded area.

"Who are they Josh?" I asked

"Hayley I know that your confused but please listen to me when I say this" He began. I nodded before he continued. "You must stay away from Jacob and Adam"

"Why?"

"Because they are dangerous. I don't want you to get hurt"

"I can take care of myself Josh"

"I know that but Jacob and Adam they are not nice people. Please promise me that you will stay away from them. Please" He begged his chocolate brown eyes showed no sign in backing down.

"I promise"

"Good" He smiled showing his teeth. I noticed that our hands were still laced together and I could feel my heart skip a beat. I quickly let go of his hand and I saw him frown at the loss of contact. I couldn't let these small feelings get in the way of our friendship.

Josh's Pov: After making that promise with Hayley I decided to take her back to the cafeteria where she was safe with everyone. I grabbed her hand and she started to blush. I smiled to myself but then shook the thoughts of us being together out of my head. I couldn't let these small feelings get in the way of our friendship. I led her to the cafeteria said a quick goodbye and left. I had to find Jacob and Adam but mostly I had to find my Brother. I searched the corridoors and the classrooms to no evail. I wandered onto the field and looked around for any sign of my Brother. 

Nothing.

I stood there taking in the sounds of everyone around me. I could hear the football team cracking jokes about the other school teams, I could hear the cheerleaders giggling about the football team, I could even hear the crickets chirping. Thats when I heard voices coming from the large forest behind the field.

"What are you doing here?"

"Came for a visit. You know it seems that your brother has an intrest in human girl"

I knew those voices anywhere. I walked casually behind the gym so no one would see me. I then sprinted across the field in a matter of seconds and jumped over the fence into the forest, daggering past all the tress until I ran into a clearing. There stood Zac, Jacob and Adam.

"Glad you could join the party Josh" Jacob smirked standing next to Adam. I took my place next to Zac who was staring them down.

Zac looked a little like me. He had the same chocolate brown eyes but he had a bigger nose and darker hair. He was wearing a black shirt with grey skinnies. Vampires love dark colours, not to mention it also blends well with our pale skin.

"What do you two want?" I sighed getting sick of their games. "We came here to visit you guys, see how you were doing." Adam answered, shrugging his shoulders.

I scoffed not believing him. 

"But now it seems that we have another reason to stay" Jacob chuckled.

"And what reason would that be?" Zac spat hatred glowing in his eyes.

"That girl. Hmm what's her name again? Oh that's right. Hayley" I narrowed my eyes at him. "What does Hayley have to do with any of this?"

He smirked "She's a pretty little thing aint she?" I could feel my blood boiling. I knew exactly what he was thinking.

"She's a innocent human Jacob!" I shouted "Theres no need for you to hurt her or anyone else in this town."

"Yes there is! I'm a vampire Josh, it's what I do. It's what WE do!" He emphasized the "we" and shoved my shoulder. Instantly Zac shoved him back. 

"We are not like that anymore" Zac hissed "We don't kill people for the thrill anymore! We have changed!"

"Changed? Really? I bet deep down inside you two are still the ultimate killing team" He stepped forward.

"We are not, like that anymore" I spoke slowly as he continued to move forward.

"Yeah? Well I am. And I won't stop till I get what I want." He paused before saying the next bit "Hayley's blood" 

That pushed me over the edge. I grabbed him by the collar and rammed him against the tree. He shoved me backwards and Adam tackled me to the floor. Zac dived at Adam but he countered, tossing Zac onto the ground. I sprung to my feet and Jacob stood infront of me, tensing his arms.

"You should know better than to attack us" Adams deep voice echoed as Zac shot to his feet. "You lost that fight when you stopped feeding on people. I wouldn't try it again"

"Zac lets go" I say tugging on his arm. 

"You know that I always get what I want Josh" Jacob called out.

I ignored his comment and dashed out of the forest with Zac hot on my trail. All I know is that I have to protect Hayley, even if it's the last thing I do. 

I will protect her.
